The world for an infant is full of challenges and endless mystery. One minute life is full of tears while the next filled with smiles and uncontainable joy. With little warning their kicks expressing frustration and discomfort can turn into kicks and wiggles steeped in euphoric energy. Yet, despite all its imperfections and hardships most infants and children become enthralled with life.

The song is entitled starting at the end, because all of our setbacks and disappointments, our inhibitions and unrealistic expectations are just part of the journey. In the end those of us who find joy in life find ourselves just like the infant completely enthralled with life despite its mysteries and uncertainty, its frailties and disappointments.
