Seeing life from a host of different perspectives makes us increasingly adaptable, resourceful and compassionate. Our greatest moments of creativity and invention come when we see things from a new or different viewpoint.
Sometimes things that at first glimpse seem harmful, useless or counterproductive turn out to be helpful or valuable when seen from a different perspective. Learning, growth, and a sense of personal worth are only possible when we renounce certainty and instead embrace the very fragility of life.
Enjoying the process of life, means being open to change, error and new directions. Wisdom is a process, it is acquired through observations, experience and internalizing new habits and viewpoints.
The irony is that knowledge can only come to those who don't already know everything. We live and we die, therefore, it is wiser to appreciate sometimes and not try to force life into all times into "eternal truths" and certainty.
The more we enjoy some times, the more we can maximize the moment and become enthralled with the wonder of being alive.
lyrics
Sometimes 12/17/06
Sometimes silence is the answer
Sometimes the deaf can have you hear
Sometimes it takes a blind man to make you see
Sometimes a mute will correct speech
It’s not just irony that peels back the page
Sometimes when hiding one shines
Sometimes thru death we feel alive
Sometimes sickness makes us most healthy
Sometimes poverty breeds wealth
At every moment we’re both idiot and sage
Reading the tracks we’re hot on the trail
Collecting the facts how could we fail?
Connect the dots, plot the course
Adapt to change don’t resist nor force
Drink deep in reason
The artful hunter has every sense ablaze
The miracle of life’s in every breath we take
Our sense of doubt sets the stage
Some things we weed out others we embrace
The more we learn the more we are amazed
Swim deep in passion
I feel my heart pound out the rhythm of the day
Sometimes one thirsts while in the ocean
Sometimes one hates to be free
Sometimes feeling is better than emotion
Sometimes sleep is what we need
Each morn I look, I listen and drink in deep the day
