about

Someone must die tonight ....... and every night! But Why?

The US has been at war directly and by proxy for over 90% of its existence. No other  country on earth can make that claim, and hopefully would not want to. A nation devoted to freedom would truly find a way to create peace. This should be especially true if that land be the most rich and powerful nation ever to exist. We have so much to share, so much to offer as a way to quell the suffering that often leads to insurrection and terrorism.

While it is true that there will always be people who will never be satisfied with whatever they attain, it is truly erroneous to think that the majority of people would not be content with the basics of life, especially if it promised them peace and safety for their families and loved ones. Yet, the sliver of greedy that control the message and manage perception want us to believe otherwise so that we support their heinous actions out of fear and mistrust.

We must free them. Free them from what? The burden of their bodies? From their oil, natural gas, and cash crops? From their opium, marijuana and other recreational drugs which our economy is dependent on? From their religious beliefs and their socialistic economic systems? From their leaders and governments who want to have their own currencies and economic alliances separate from US imperialism?

While we admit we fight for oil and other forms of energy, we still refrain from saying we go to war and kill others (through drone assassination and other illegal and immoral acts of terror, including the use of white phosphorous, depleted uranium and carpet bombs which serve no other purpose than to kill innocents for years to come) for mainly economic reasons. This should be evident by the fact how frequently we impose economic sanctions on nations which seldom result in any harm to the leaders who we claim are evil and want to kill us, but instead results in the deaths of millions of innocents who we claim to want to free from murderous regimes.

We refrain from admitting that the majority of our wars and global military police actions are mainly due to our desire to remain the global economic power. Though we admit that we will "aggressively protect our way of life" we don't say that by our way of life we mainly mean predatory capitalism on a global level. We don't admit that the main litmus test for determining who are allies and enemies are is the nation's willingness to actively partake in our economic system and to insure that our interests are placed above those of their own citizens.

Instead we say that they are dangerous, evil, immoral and without our aggressive interventions they would kill and destroy us. Never mind that most of the nations we bomb and destroy have no air force to defend themselves with or the military hardware needed to build a nuclear bomb let alone a delivery system that poses a legitimate threat. This is true despite the fact that we lead the world by a wide margin in the sale of arms and armaments.

The perceptual managers label anyone who makes peace a central goal an idealist in search of utopia. in reality endless war is just as irrational as total peace. Yet, the fact that we currently have billions of people living on the planet should show that war isn't pervasive and inevitable. Our planet was populated more through our ability to get along and live in harmony, than through our desire to kill, make war and be greedy.

lyrics

Someone Must Die Tonight 3/19/03

Someone will die tonight
For they worship the wrong god
Live in the wrong land
We know they hate us

We must free them

Someone must die tonight
For they may hurt us
Or threaten our freedom
So we must teach them a lesson

We must free them

Many will die tonight
They speak another language
They fail in understanding
That we are the good men

Many must die tonight
For they won’t do as we say
They do it the wrong way
They are morally inferior

We must free them

Why are they so evil?
God pity their envious hearts
God bless America
Help us kill them

We must free them
