There is more than one word play involved in the title of the song. The standard term of motion sickness has been modified to be emotion sickness. Where the original motion sickness deals with a sense of nausea
induced by the motion of a car, plane or boat, the idea of emotion sickness could signify a sense of nausea created by strong emotions such as disgust.

One could also use the term emotion sickness to depict a state of mental illness such as hysteria which is fueled by powerful and distorted emotions. Yet, the term could also be any sickness which has its roots in the wear and tear of stressful emotions on one's over all health.
