A man is attracted to a woman who is a confusing blend of passion and inhibition. While torrid passion comes easy for her, she runs and hides from deep intimacy. He warns her of the dangers of making love into a game of thrills and deception. While he finds the unveiling of the many mysteries of life intoxicating, she has a need to create false mysteries through game playing, sexual teasing and being inconsistent in love.
He beckons her to stop teasing him, and asks her if she could be content to just be herself and trust that the real her is worthy of his love. While he is confident that he will desire and feel passion for the real her, he wonders is she is strong enough to take that chance.
Though making love into a game is a dangerous enterprise he is certain of his desire for intimacy and hopes that she will be able to stop trying to keep his interest through being a sexual tease and perpetual mystery. Her playing with fire will not harm him, but it might destroy the potential that he sees in their relationship. Yet, he is fully aware that all he can do is offer and seek to be intimate with her and it is up to her to get beyond the fears which cause her to seduce, hide and constantly test his dedication.
Her fears and inhibitions prevent her from peeling back the leaves which house the honeyed fruit that their love could become. No one can be forced to stop being afraid all he can do is reassure her of the purity of his intentions and offer to be her companion in appreciating the wonders of nature and of love.
While he is totally prepared to dedicate and commit himself to her, she must first show that she can dedicate and commit herself to intimacy by sharing with him deeply and honestly.
