While the excitement and novelty of new love is quite captivating it pales in comparison to love that has survived and flourished through the years. All that has been shared, experienced and been woven into a common history gives inexpressible depth and meaning to one’s life. Passion comes easy while in the throes of early infatuation, but duration is what distinguishes love and intimacy from seduction.

Loving You is a song about a couple that has used their intimacy and history together to keep the fires of passion burning. While the novelty may have waned, it has been replaced with a visceral knowledge, care and investment in each other.

The songs refrain articulates well the blend of gratitude and anticipation that only prolonged and savored love can generate.
