Our world is so full of us and thems. Each day we are asked to be loyal and identify with groups which are at odds with or deemed superior to others. This affiliation could be based on beliefs, ideology, politics, economics, nationality, ethnicity or social identity.
Minds are swayed most everyday to find life vicious and cruel
Gangs work hard to be in charge to be loyal is their golden rule
Be willing to die, to hate and despise the foreign and the intelligent too
To be real, most do feel, demands one to be rude
As long as I feel healthy and safe it i easy for me to enjoy and be enthralled with life without a need to defeat or vilify others. Instead I cherish life in general and mine in particular.
I’ve always viewed life as a fascinating friend
Something to cherish not transcend
Like my love it deepens every day
Tho it’s stable, it’s never quite the same
Those with ambition and leadership roles often try to increase their power and control over those in their group. They encourage us to be angry, fearful and discontent and promise us a better life if we fight for their cause and vision of the future.
Selling life short, the fashionable sport of conmen and kings
Circumcise the public mind, the powerful provide the sting
(do their thing)
Keep the masses in line, to protect their hide
our sons they use for killing machines
Their wealth does rise, every time, we diminish as they get big
One is often free to view life and others from a host of perspectives. If one see's danger and an enemy they can find it, yet a loving person can find and create goodness. In other words life is often far more flexible than we realize, and our attitude and energy often become a self-fulfilled prophecy.
We so rare, devoted to care, our talent is our sight
We do see most everything as opportunity for delight
The varied hues in mist and dew never cease to surprise
The spider’s lairs, many crystalline snares,
magically appear in misty light
Those of us who would rather share and live harmoniously do not find it necessary to harm or battle others in order to live a rewarding life. The variety of ways of being in the world become, for those enthralled with life, a source of wonder and appreciation and not one of anxiety and mistrust.
I bask in the warmth of what we create
I’m grateful for each breath I take
So much to feel and appreciate
Pulsing waves of joy reverberate
The fight for survival is not a fiction, but neither is abundance. There is no inherently true or false way to internalize our experiences. Approaching and experiencing live as a precious gift to cherish is possible for far many more of us than we usually think.
I am deeply indebted to all those who enjoy their sensorial, emotional and cognitive life. I find in them validation, inspiration and a sense of community.
You excite me
You ignite me
You delight me
You entice me
