My Deepest Memory 11/4/09 Lying with you, you were my destiny Your contented breaths, the source of my ecstasy So glad to share our lives We made a home of warmth and harmony We grew a lot through care and empathy Intoxicated by earthly delight Our words we gave, delicate gifts of inquiry Each story we heard, piqued our curiosity The wonder that is life never ending mystery Marvel at this lot we call humanity I wandered home one snowy eve The air was crisp the silence heartening Soft yellow light spilled into the night His thin pale hair wet and clean His multi-colored robe resting comfortably Snug on your lap listening to you read That scene’s simple beauty filled my deepest need I’ve never needed to live beyond this world The history that’s unfolded fills my every cell Our lives together what we feel and see Gives my life meaning so fulfilling So much experience so much history The feel of your body my deepest memory The smell of your body my deepest memory The sound of your laughter my deepest memory You will always be my deepest memory

Peace, Love and Dignity 5/3/2010 I want to feel your smile I want to breathe in your joy I want to touch your dreams I want to listen to your feet For time moves with or without heat And I live within each heartbeat I want to taste your words Till I can no longer eat I want to sip on your emotions The bitter and the sweet Our tongues feel more than we can speak Our minds hold more than we can seek I sang this song before I had a notion I was a man before I knew me Such is the beauty of living without knowing Such is the wonder of human beings Falling into the stream Loving our history I sang this song before I had a notion I was a man before I knew me Such is the beauty of living without knowing Such is the wonder of you and me Winters come and summers go Each time has its beauty Some things change and others grow Whether liquid or sturdy I want to share my life Of that I am certain I want to learn from life I am its student
All of you fashion me thru words and reactions I hope my words unfold you Validate spawn satisfaction Through you all I know me I am your project What is now and what will be Gives life its passion John Lennon and Yoko Had a lovely message Peace, love and dignity for every person Peace love and dignity What a lovely message Peace love and dignity for every person

Exhaustion 04:33
Exhaustion 10/10/06 I do not know how to petition you The darkness in your heart smothers the faintest spark You give in to alibis which distract and do blame I don’t know if you realize most boasts aim to cover shame As you try to euthanize your recognition of other’s pain Erase all the differences make everyone the same Get rid of every smell, convert the feral make it tame Dispatch each question of life in the utterance of a holy name Words are fragile game they can hide as well as display Those who use them best look behind and beyond their common usage You listen to the hypocrites who distract and do blame These smug defenders of the good who smile as they foster hate I watch the hypnotist mesmerize ply his trade Speech writes for the government the media is his slave His perspective is everywhere burnt deep in our brain Creates fear and national pride makes us righteous and enraged I walk against the stream try to resist its sway I grow increasingly tired what is real slips away I need someone else to help me stay strong and brave An open heart, and open mind that relishes each day Help me see the way Help me love and play Help me care for man Help me make life grand

Desiderata 04:19
Desiderata 9/8/11 Come into the light I heard her say Though her eyes were closed.... how strange Why are you leering? Was her next query Walking in a fog I slinked away She kept on talking all the same Did I ever see clearly With or without feeling? A gorilla kissed a swan and winked my way He asked what I was on, I couldn’t say Could I be dreaming? Or do symbols have meaning? Imagination’s such a friend For it makes me smile in the end Yet I search for facts and sense and sensible actions Quietly, I watch me move in the world I feel me sense a world I learn about me I learn from me I unleash such passion Through each thought, sense and action Fervently, I cry out into the void I scream out into the void Can anybody hear me? Can anybody feel me? Is anyone seeing this? Does anyone feel this bliss? Quietly, Come sit with me a spell Heed your internal plangent knell Open your pores to passion Your mind to temporal satisfaction Consume every intimacy For today you are, tomorrow you may not be

I Remember 03:44
I Remember 3/6/10 Somewhere south of eden a man laughs at his pride Standing in front of a mirror a woman loathes her smile The master of his desire is his never aging bride The goal of her devotion is the light in her child’s eyes Parched and languid evenings plague the restless mind Watching her sweet baby to her lover’s gaze she is blind He so wants to please her the treasure of his life He yearns to be the hero of his family and his wife No matter what he does he feels so outside His presence seems a bother his affections denied Weak and suffocated by the weight of hubby’s needs She turns to her children to give life meaning I remember times feeling free Running fast and skinning knees I remember endless motion I remember days of play Fewer now than yesterday I remember becoming me I remember days of passion Trapped in the trance of satisfaction I remember your rosy cheeks I remember making you glow Having you laugh giving you hope I remember being your center I remember feeling infatuation Aching so bad for your complete attention I remember but that’s not all I don’t have to remember No I don’t have to remember Do you?

In Your World 12/14/2009 That sense of choice Charged up my voice with emotion We make our way Fashion, ration or complain Toil or declare a holiday Nothing’s for certain We’re often surprised Patterns unveil Repetition, history and I Every moment’s a puzzle (don’t you want me in your world?) Each word’s a potential cure (don’t you want me in your world?) I don’t hide from the darkness (don’t you want me in your world?) No end to the wonder we unfurl I feel like crying so rich and satisfying is our world Don’t walk away Seek the eternal deny decay Make love a concept Wish our bodies away Let’s please each other
Treat our bodies as art Mold and hold and exultate Make my strings vibrate in song All day long Hear the choir’s swelling voices (don’t you want me in your world?) Cause our hearts to rise and soar (don’t you want me in your world?) Fill our lungs with love’s musky incense (don’t you want me in your world?) Intoxicate me with your will I want to look inside not beyond life (don’t you want me in your world?) I want to savor each drop of juice (don’t you want me in your world?) I yearn to sleep with your heart beat (don’t you want me in your world?) I long to unbutton you

Table 4 1 05:27
Table for One 2/17/12 Inside life at its very core uncertainty does reign Patterns form the exotic explodes the familiar and the strange She sits alone at the restaurant befuddled and dismayed Looks out the window into the night the darkness and the rain At each table couples talk locked in each others gaze The world paired off like Noah’s ark her own flood waters will soon rage Hears her steps echo through the streets as she makes her way home Lights some candles takes a bath breathes in the lilac scented foam Shed tears of hope and doubt Your heart is ringing out Find someone to share each day So the moment doesn’t float away Inside life at its very core uncertainty does reign Patterns form the exotic explodes the familiar and the strange She sits alone at the restaurant watches couples play the game Sighs at the beauty of the moon her companions blind to its display She says, No one truly senses or sees as me Though at times that would be reassuring No one truly senses or sees as me yet being unique has its allure My fingerprint is different no one will ever touch the earth or see the sky the same as me Table for one reserve a seat for me

Pleasure 02:50
Pleasure 9/16/09 Life flows from me to you Our bodies dance a simple truth I love the moment as I’m drawn to your fire Tingling sensations slowly crawl up my spine Oh say it to me, make it a plea Tell me what you desire Being quite clear, feelings so dear Turn our heat into light Feeling glee as you shine for me Pleasure keeps hearts beating agile and entwined Pleasure gives life meaning precious and sublime Give me pleasure fill my life Laughter is the gravy One pours over delight Touch is the potion That awakens body’s power Feeling glee as you shine for me Give me peace and lie with me Every body’s got a feeling that opens up their heart Treasured moments are so healing Pleasure is its guide Give me pleasure fill my life Nothing’s quite as sacred As a heart loving life The pleasure of living naked Open to this life Give me pleasure fill my life Living pleasure living life

Repugnance 02:52
Repugnance (Moral Nausea) 12/22/09 I’ve fought a fever all day My clothes are drenched in sweat I shiver, my head pounds with pain I struggle hard to stay sane This is what happens when I don’t turn away Look at starvation and war in the face How we treat each other is such a disgrace Torture and famine should never take place with our grace So much suffering and pain Most of which we could end in a day Power lies to maximize its gains We others just nod a tacit OK How can we stomach such moral decay? Let stand our leaders who rape and complain Parrot their slogans which their actions betray Explain away aggression and justify hate in our name I close my eyes to say We can change in many ways
I’ll say it again and again We can reclaim our humanity We can reclaim generosity We can reclaim our humanity

Sweet Repose 02:42
Sweet Repose 8/8/09 Rest in the beauty of being idle Listen to songbirds Feel the breeze Nestle in the delight of the season Like a guest you sit contented View the spectacle casually How fortunate is our vision So calm so serene the soft whispers of the trees Our bodies await celebration Beckon touch wistfully Cradled in the arms of a lover Every sound each vibration Soothes like heart's constant beat Dancing so sweet in life's rhythm Memories let you dream So real so pristine On your back you embrace the day Warming sun and cooling shade tickle you, in passing moods So relaxed so at ease These vivid moments bring you peace and glue to what you do Each breath fills your body Gives you a taste of nature’s bounty, nourishing you So calm so at rest Grounded by the aroma of herbal scents you glow In sweet repose enjoy the flow of sweet repose

So Much More 03:25
So Much More 3/25/12 Some live inside their minds You can see it in their vacant eyes As they speed on by or impatiently wait in line Well I feel it now like thunder from a cloud the beauty of the day its rhythm and its sway We could be so much more If we lived to share and not to hoard Life grows and grows each day Such is nature’s way The flux of life is ever changing the inside comes out, the outside goes in the mundane imbued We are but cells in the body of life malignant and deadly or hearty and true its for us to choose Few of us trust that man can live in peace and understand how to find joy in life and not create perpetual strife What if we could perceive That abundance surpasses basic need? Could we live in harmony get beyond the will to deceive? Well I feel it now like thunder from a cloud the beauty of the day its rhythm and its sway We could be so much more Life could be so much more We are so much more if we lived each moment at its core if we lived for peace and not for war

about

This album explores and celebrates the role significance plays in our lives. Significance can be derived from so many different and varied sources. A rich life finds meaning and poignancy in almost every moment.

The songs on this album all are dripping with significance. The lyrics and music express the many realms of how things become significant, how significance gets communicated and transferred, how it is experienced and internalized, and its various mediums and vehicles.

Significance can be evoked, stimulated, provoked, aroused, articulated, hinted at or expounded. It also can be created, discovered, revealed, imparted, invented and fashioned,

Significance can be ritualized, depicted, described, symbolized or portrayed in myth, fable, analogy or parable. Significance can be found in feelings, relationships, perspectives, attitudes, situations, reveries, events, thoughts, beliefs, ideals, personal and social history, gestures, symbols and ideas.

Music is a highly emotional language rife with significance. Music can elicit significance in nooks, crannies and surreal landscapes that words cannot plumb. The timbre and tone of each instrument conjures up significant feelings, sensations, moods and physiognomies that both stand alone and act as spices in the aural soup of each song. Sometimes the music seems to echo and reinforce the lyrics at others the instrumentation and timbres evoke different or conflicting realities.

The album cover too, is rich in symbols, representations and inspirations all making claim to a number of meaningful significances. While this piece of art can be enjoyed and appreciated from many perspectives, I felt while listening to the album its color, context and strokes eliciting warmth, energy, vitality and joy with an underlying sense of mystical danger.

The cover also includes a little subliminal message contained in the colors of the title. If you look close you can read "Sign If I can" or with a little more playful interpretation it can read "Sign if I can See".

So what is the Significance of all this? Well that is for you to decide.
