Some people ask questions in order to find fault with life, and others ask questions that can't be answered logically in order to justify and demand belief. Being petitioned by such questions is tedious and greatly insults the mystery of life.
Don’t ask me why, if answers aren’t your goal
Don’t ask me why, if despair is what you hope
That I will decide is man’s only choice
Who lives a life then dies when one’s old
The fear of death and the inability to enjoy the preciousness of temporal life often makes one deaf to existential exploration. A denial of life often leads one to declare themselves immortal.
I know you never want to die
The future must fill an empty life
Too many ?'s are a sign that one finds life inherently meaningless and that one is dissatisfied with the joys that life has to offer such as intimacy, wisdom, relationship and individual development. Those who appreciate less, always crave and demand more than can be attained.
Too many questions keep you from feeling loved, and
Too many questions keep you from seeking love, and
Feeling unloved, has you pull away, and
Feeling unloved lets you focus on pain
The beauty of the heart, mind and body is more about experience than theory. It is more about the how and what of each moment we live rather than in a quest to always try to answer why. It is more important and fulfilling to laugh, cry, love, and observe than it is to forever question why.
I know the joy would come
If you would lend your heart to
Somebody wanting to feel close
A probing hand to keep from feeling lost
Too many ?'s take us away from the moment to moment discovery of ourselves, others, and nature. Too many ?'s often become a deflection from the here and now, or a defensive weapon creating dissatisfaction and distance from our sensorial and visceral reality.
Too many questions flung life arrows
Too many questions used to scare off
Too many questions create isolation
Too many questions create desperation
Too many ?'s cause one to live in their head, and miss the beauty of the moment. When eating ... taste, when observing .... see, when touching ... feel.
Dancing to the beat you can lose control
Drifting in the heat stoke a fiery glow
Dancing, drifting too, too many questions
